In a seemingly ordinary house in Binalonan, Pangasinan, a dark family secret unfolded, exposing the tragic consequences of a father’s betrayal. The victim, 16-year-old Kimberly Narvas, endured months of abuse by her own father, Alfredo Narvas, in a case that shocked the local community.
The nightmare began shortly after the passing of Kimberly’s grandfather, the only person she felt protected her. Her father, Alfredo, a locally known carpenter, began entering her room uninvited.
Kimberly was forcibly harmed by her father, who allegedly used threats against her mother and younger brother to ensure her silence.

Fearing the harm would extend to her family, Kimberly remained silent, suppressing her trauma and maintaining a facade of normalcy at home and at school.
The abuse continued relentlessly. Alfredo, often intoxicated, would call his daughter to the house even if she tried to stay with cousins, perpetuating the cycle of violation and fear.
The pressure became unbearable. In November 2017, Kimberly gathered her courage and confessed the repeated abuse to her mother, Juby Narvas, who was often absent managing their small store.
However, in a devastating act of betrayal, Juby refused to believe her daughter, accusing her of lying to destroy her father’s reputation.
Juby then pushed Kimberly out of the house, leaving the 16-year-old homeless, carrying only a small bag with a few clothes and notebooks.
Kimberly wandered the streets until a kind classmate took her in. After two months, Kimberly noticed alarming changes in her body.
Alone, she went to a local drugstore and bought a pregnancy test, which confirmed her fears: she was pregnant, the devastating result of her father’s repeated violation.
Initially contemplating ending the pregnancy, she sought counsel from a pastor who convinced her to continue. Her supportive boyfriend, Arman Ochoco, returned to her side, choosing to stand by her despite the complexity of the situation.
In August 2018, Kimberly gave birth to a healthy baby boy. In the quiet of the night, holding her newborn son, she resolved to end the nightmare. She began meticulously gathering evidence.
With the help of her younger brother, she secretly obtained a used hair comb belonging to her father. She submitted the hair follicle and DNA samples from the baby to a clinic for a paternity test, determined to secure unassailable proof.
The wait was long, but when the DNA test confirmed Alfredo Narvas as the father, Kimberly had the evidence she needed. She immediately went to the police station and filed a formal complaint.
Weeks later, police arrived at the Narvas home with an arrest warrant for Alfredo. His wife, Juby, was shocked by the allegations but, upon seeing the undeniable evidence, could only watch as her husband was taken into custody.
In the precinct, Alfredo pleaded with Kimberly to drop the case for the sake of the family, but Kimberly remained steadfast.
During the trial in March 2019, Kimberly recounted the repeated sexual and physical abuse, the threats, and her mother’s subsequent disbelief.
The defense, to the court’s dismay, attempted the outrageous strategy of claiming Kimberly had seduced her own father. The court rejected the baseless defense.
In 2022, Alfredo Narvas was sentenced to reclusion perpetua (life imprisonment) for the heinous crimes of abuse of a relative and drug possession.
In jail, Alfredo attempted to take his own life but was quickly revived. Kimberly, though deeply scarred, found strength in her new life. With Arman’s unwavering support, she embraced motherhood, naming her son Arky (from their combined names).
She did not return to her mother’s home but found peace, working as a cashier and studying to complete her degree. Kimberly vowed that her son, Arky, though a product of trauma, would be raised with the fierce love and protection she was denied.
